Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE) is a combination of neural machine translation (nMT) and human post-editing. It means that the source text is pre-translated using nMT.
MTPE projects typically take less time to process so translators can do more in the same amount of time. MTPE projects should be done using the online editor only (workbench)!
The source text is divided into segments; each segment is pre-translated. In the workbench, you need to:
[1] Proofread and confirm the translation by clicking the checkbox for each segment (changes to green once clicked).
[2] When translation is done, click "Done" in the upper right corner of the workbench.
[3] Go back to the project page and click "sync file"- then refresh the page. If the translation was successfully synced click "Declare Completed".
[4] Before signing the project, you will also be asked to rate the initial machine translation:
Rating helps us track and improve the quality of the machine translation for future projects.
Note: If the translation workbench doesn’t open or the text wasn't pre-translated, report the issue using the Translator-BLEND Talk Board. DO NOT attempt to translate offline.
