Machine translation post editing (MTPE) - is a project where you need to review the machine-translated content and edit it in such a way that it meets the requirements of the client.
Based on the client's requirements, we provide 2 types of MPTE projects:
MPTE Light - used for more general content and requires minimum editing from your side. Proofread the machine’s output with regard to semantic or spelling mistakes, and check the text for no confusion or wrong information.
MPTE Full - requires heavy editing to the level that it reads perfectly and sounds like a human translation.
Every MPTE project requires the use of a special CAT tool - our workbench.
Depending on the workbench type, the editor will look different but it should always contain the pre-translated text in it (MT):
Do not start working on an MPTE project if it doesn't have machine translation. Report the issue to our support team via the Translators-BLEND-Talk board or abandon the project. We will not compensate for a translation from scratch.
Once you finish editing the project, a system will ask you to rate the machine translation:
We use this information to improve the accuracy of MT and make future post editing projects easier.
