JSON files are processed using the provided online translator’s workbench.
If the file is formatted properly, the system will be able to successfully parse the text for translation. However, if the file is improperly formatted, or the client instructions require otherwise, then an “offline” translation may be necessary (using Notepad++, Sublime).
JSON files may be translated using the workbench if the following requirements are met. If not, translation will need to be done “offline”:
- The file should contain code for a single JSON file only. A file containing content for multiple JSON files cannot be processed.
- The content structure should be: “placeholder”: “text for translation”
- If the ‘text for translation’ space is empty and the “placeholder” space contains the text to be translated, the system will read the file as empty and it cannot be analyzed for translation.
